Fan Fiction: Chicago All Stars Menu

 Swizzle Town

One of the coolest things about bartenders and cocktails is that we can ask the best ones from around town to concoct their favorite swizzle recipes, then we can make them all here at Scofflaw on one magical day. Basically, what we're saying is: it's Father's Day on June 21st and we want to celebrate in the classic dad fashion of "kick back, relax and let us do the hard work for you."

If you're a real dad, maybe that means someone else is going to mow the lawn while you spend time with us. But if you're a fake dad, or not a dad at all, that might mean that you're gonna park it right here at the bar and let us swizzle you up a good time just because it's a Sunday.

So, check out the menu below to fuel your cocktail daydreams and clear your schedule for an extended, boozy brunch next weekend!

Chicago Craft Beer Week: Perennial Artisan Ales Tap Takeover

Kris Nagy, our resident beer dude, just loves Chicago Craft Beer Week. And not just because he gets to repeat his mantra, “Live every week like it’s craft beer week.” It’s also because every beer aficionados’ spidey senses start tingling and Twitter blows up with all the amazing brews everyone’s sampling.

Hey, some people get this jazzed about the Westminster Dog Show. Everybody’s gotta have a hobby.

To celebrate, we’re turning over our half our taps to a killer brewery out of St. Louis: Perennial Artisan Ales! It’s the latest in a long history of awesome Tap Takeovers. Starting tonight at 5pm, you’ll find these awesome ales in the mix: Aria, Saison de Lis, Hommel Bier and Regalia. Looking for that really special something? A Very Special Birthday Menu!

We’re having a birthday tomorrow night, and classic us, we got ourselves some pretty cool gifts.

Like a bunch of cocktails from days gone by. Miss the Weathered Axe? Us, too! So we put it on Thursday’s menu. Along with the Piña Colada, Last Light, and Feat of Strength, as pictured so beautifully above!

We’ve had some really fun times over the past years, and that didn’t happen all by ourselves, so we enlisted the help of our beloved alumni to round out this party menu. Four Scofflaw bartenders from yesteryear contributed four awesome special cocktails for the occasion:

Pete Gugni’s Hanky Panky Sour (Beefeater Gin, Carpano Antica, Lemon, Fernet, Soda); Griffin Elliot’s Mr. Fantastic (Silver Coin Tequila, Habanero Cordial, Lemon, Grapefruit, Salt, Mint); Uby Khawaja’s Deco Step (Fords Gin, Kina L'Avion D'Or, Fernet Branca); and Doug Phillips’s Sleeper (Broker’s Gin, Escorial, Honeydew, Lime, Orange Bitters).

We love beer, too, so we’re also tapping a super duper limited release of Coffee Dino S'mores from Off Color Brewing!

Don’t worry we won’t let you drink all those fabulous drinks without proper pairings. Also on the menu is a $3 menu! Featuring: Cornmeal-Crusted Fried Pickles, Steak Tacos, Fried Chicken & a Biscuit, Spam Musubi, Muffuletta Sliders and Shoofly Pie!

See — we told you we tend to go overboard for a party. The festivities begin at 5pm on Thursday, March 12th and last until we drink and eat everything (or 2am, when we are legally obligated to close)!
